Noosa Water Polo secretary Linda Connors said she was excited for the competitive tournament.
“The competition will serve as a pathway to the senior Queensland Premier League which has been operating for a few years and has been quite successful,” she said.
“Everyone’s very excited that it’s going to be held on the Sunshine Coast as that’s quite rare.”
Connors said the local derby between Noosa and Kawana would be a tough one.
“All of the teams will be strong in their own right but we know that Kawana will certainly be a very hard matchup,” she said.
“Kawana are quite an experienced team and have been playing together for a long time.”
All matches will be played at the St Andrew’s Anglican College pool kicking off at 9.30am on Saturday and 8.20am on Sunday.
