The man behind a painting that captures everything great about Tewantin says he couldn't be happier with how the project has turned out.
Central Coast based artist Andrew Grassi said he had enjoyed creating the mural in the past fortnight and was amazed by reactions of passers-by.

“Everyone walking past has said something nice which makes me feel good and encourages me to keep going,” Mr Grassi, 48, said.
“The best thing was when I would see people stop what they're doing and take a step back to look at every little detail that represents their area.”
Mr Grassi said he enjoyed seeing how much the mural meant to people and the amount of people who took notice of it.
“People who I would normally judge and think they wouldn’t bother batting an eye have proved me 100 per cent wrong which is good to see,” he said.
The original plan given to Mr Grassi was to have an aerial view of Tewantin while also linking the beach to the bush.
The mural, which is 22m long and 3.8m tall, includes well-known Tewantin features like poinciana trees, the Noosa ferry, Double Island Point, numerous bike tracks and wildlife.
Mr Grassi completed another mural in Noosaville less than six months ago and said he was happy to return to the area.
“When they asked me to come back and do another mural I was overwhelmed,” he said.
The mural was commissioned by the Tewantin Traders Association with grants supplied from groups of shop owners.
The work of Mr Grassi and other artists who have been leaving their marks on Tewantin will be celebrated at the Tewantin Street Art Launch Party from 10am until midday on May 22.
