Search continues for wanted man spotted on Coast

UPDATE:
POLICE will continue to search today for a wanted man who led them on a dangerous chase on Wednesday afternoon before dumping a car at Diamond Valley.
Sunshine Coast police district officer Superintendent Darryl Johnson said police knew who the man was but could not confirm if he was a danger to the public.
Yesterday officers rushed to Diamond Valley after the man was sighted, sparking police to put roadblocks in place in the area.

POLICE are stopping vehicles at roadblocks on the Sunshine Coast this evening after a sighting of a wanted man who led them on a dangerous chase on Wednesday afternoon.
Sunshine Coast police district officer Superintendent Darryl Johnson said officers knew the man's identity.
Supt Johnson would not confirm whether or not police believed he was armed.
Officers rushed to Diamond Valley about 2pm Thursday after the man was sighted.
It came after witnesses reported wild scenes on Sunshine Coast roads on Wednesday afternoon as police tracked an orange Holden Colorado along Maroochydore Rd and in the Mons Rd area.
Supt Johnson said the four-wheel-drive was found dumped at Diamond Valley late on Wednesday night.
He said the roadblocks were sparked by a sighting of the man in the Diamond Valley area.
About 12 police crews remained in the area on Thursday evening.
Despite their efforts, police were yet to locate the man.
