A CONTROVERSIAL multi-million Buderim home appears to still be vacant and unfinished more than 11 years after it made national headlines.
The Riverview Avenue home was once billed Queensland most expensive private home and had an estimated price tag of $25 million in 2008.
It is also rumoured to house a concrete reinforced nuclear bunker.
Four neighbours, including Jorge Herrman, launched a $60,000 court bid to get the property demolished in 2005, arguing its mammoth size was outside the town plan for the area.
The home is the same size as 14 two-bedroom apartments.
They lost.
And then construction on the home which covers four lots and extends all the way down to Pacific Terrace came to a standstill as its owner, American-born Ron Miller launched legal action against its developer, Kate Dillon.
This battle was still ongoing in 2008.
Mr Herrmann told the Daily today the home still remained unfinished and empty.
"They had it for sale for a while, but he still seems to own it," Mr Herrmann said.
"Nothing has happened to it at all, it is still the same stage it was at (in 2008).
"They have only finished the outside, inside is raw building and empty.
"No one lives there.
"I think Ken Guy in Buderim had it on the market for $14 million."
The property no longer appears to be for sale and Mr Miller is still indicated as the owner.
Mr Herrmann said it was just sitting there "deteriorating".
"Nothing happens with it. An old commercial freezer has been standing out there for ages.
"I don't know what's happening."
The Daily is trying to get hold of Mr Miller for comment.
