The 574 sqm property at 66 Seaview Terrace attracted bidders from Queensland, the United States and Germany all competing for the slice of land at the sought-after Sunshine Beach location.

"The appetite for real estate on the Sunshine Coast is stronger than ever with most properties getting between five and 15 bidders and reserve prices being easily eclipsed," Mr Offermann said.
A wealthy Brisbane family outbid the international competition for the block and now joins several celebrities including Kevin Rudd and wife Therese Rein and Karl Stefanovic as property owners within the Sunshine Beach dress circle.
Records show the block with 22.3 metres frontage to the beach sold in January 1994 for $525,000.
Mr Offermann said auctions had generated particularly strong results recently.
On Saturday four of the agency's five properties that went to auction sold and the fifth was under negotiation throughout the afternoon.
He said the highlight was the sale of 47 Spoonbill Street, Peregian Beach.
The four-bedroom home designed by Bark Design Architects went under the hammer for $2.62 million.
"The design attracted a lot of families wanting to live very close to the beach," Mr Offermann said.
"The design was very sympathetic to the environment."
