THERE was great support from the community for the much-anticipated launch of Harmony Display World last Saturday.

Despite the wet weather there truly was something for the whole family with stunning display homes to explore, face painting, pony rides, jumping castles, kids' crafts, balloon artists and food trucks.

Athletes Karla Mostert, Laura Scherian and Erena Mikaere from the premiership-winning Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team stopped by to celebrate the launch, meet and greet fans, and tour the display homes.

AVID Property Group general manager Queensland, Bruce Harper, said guests also enjoyed relaxing at Harmony's first café, KAI Coffee, and were able to see Harmony come to life at the touch-of-a-button at the sales and information centre's interactive vision zone.

"The afternoon culminated in a magnificent display of fireworks to celebrate Harmony's journey so far.

"As the Sunshine Coast's largest display village, Harmony Display World will showcase 43 architecturally designed homes from 25 local and national home builders.

"Year round, Harmony Display World boasts an array of activities with interactive street art, play areas, edible gardens, a five way swing, street games and puzzles, plus an 18-hole putt-putt course.''

The$3billion Harmony project is set on 378 hectares and will deliver more than 4800 homes for 12,000 future residents, catering to a wide range of buyers.

It will be enhanced by 100 hectares of open space and the future delivery of a town centre with a gross floor area of 15,250sq m.
