A Sunshine Coast couple have sold their home in less than two hours of it hitting the market, despite a global pandemic developing around them.

Sue and Gary Hadenham offloaded their "lovely" home on Karawatha Dr in Mountain Creek within a week of the agent coming to take photos.

The pair sold through Kevin Annetts Property and had a buyer almost immediately.

"Kev put the house on the market and half an hour later said that someone was keen to inspect it," Mr Hadenham said.

"Then another half-hour later he had an offer and it was all over in two hours.

"He was rapt. So were we."

Mr Annetts said it was one of the fastest sales in his 40 years in property.

"Negotiations might have gone for half an hour, and the agreement was done and signed off within two hours," Mr Annetts said.

"Both sides were over the moon."

Mrs Hadenham said the buyers originally wanted a two-week settlement, but ended up agreeing on three weeks.

The fast-paced sale allowed the couple to secure land inside B by Halcyon soon to be completed over-50s lifestyle village in Buderim.

"We thought we would stay in Mountain Creek forever, but as soon as we drove into this part we knew this was home," she said.

"It's like a country farm with so many trees around. It's beautiful."

Somewhat surprisingly, this isn't the first quick fire property sale the couple have had.

"We owned Independent Awnings and Blinds for about 25 years and sold it in about a month," he said.

"Which is rare for that type of business. We tend to do things at the right time."
