A beach shack neighbouring Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic’s multimillion-dollar Sunshine Beach home may soon be demolished after the owner put in an application to council.

The application to demolish the existing dwelling at 37 Seaview Tce, Sunshine Beach, was lodged with the Noosa Council by homeowner Bill Wilson on October 13.

Mr Wilson is the legal practice director and head of the property and commercial practice at Wilson Lawyers in Brisbane, the firm’s website states.

Mr Wilson’s 673sq m block property neighbours media personality Karl and designer wife Jasmine Stefanovic’s luxurious five-bedroom, five-bathroom house.

Property data states the beach shack was bought by Willpower Nominees Pty Ltd, which Mr Wilson is listed as the director of in Australian Securities and Investments Commission documents, in January 1991 for $225,000.

Sunshine Beach is the Sunshine Coast and Noosa’s most expensive suburb and is famously known for its multimillion-dollar properties and celebrity inhabitants including Kevin Rudd and Therese Rein and high-profile home designer Chris Clout.

One of Mr Clout’s designer homes in Sunshine Beach, known as Azure House, made headlines recently after it hit the market for the first time since 2016.

The five-bedroom house at 26 McAnally Drive, Sunshine Beach, is tipped to sell for more than $10m.

According to October statistics the beachside suburb’s median house price was $2,849,736, almost a million dollars higher than the second most expensive suburb Noosa Heads at $1,888,321.

The council is yet to make a decision on the demolition application for Mr Wilson’s home.

Mr Wilson has been contacted for comment.
