"We wanted to open a cafe and breakfast establishment that is a bit more high-end compared to some of the other restaurants in the area," he said.

"It has been quite a learning curve as it always is when you start something new but we are managing with our team and we have been pretty successful since we have opened, but time will tell.

"Our head chef Sacha Ryan-Dryden, has been around the block for quite some time and she is absolutely amazing in the kitchen and is a queen of the breakfast food scene."

Mr Lepoutre said the driving force behind his new restaurant was to continue to support local, family run businesses.

"Our bread is made in Maroochydore by a company called The Wonky Loaf and our coffee is from Flying West Coffee Roasters in Doonan,"Mr Lepoutre said.

"That is one part of the business through the bakery and the second part of the business is our pastries and breakfast foods that are all made in house."

Mr Lepoutre said the name of the restaurant was special to him and had been in the back of his mind for a long time.

"The name of Bronte's is from Bronte Beach in Sydney as that is where my wife and I met and had our first date," he said.

"We wanted something that is important to us and important to Australia."

Mr Lepoutre said the ability to supply people with quality food and drink was what drove him to come into work each day.

"My passion is for people and making sure we can deliver what they need and make sure they want to come back," he said.

"If they can enjoy their coffee, their breakfast and their bread with a smile we've done our job."

Bronte's is open from 6am until midday, Wednesday to Sunday.
