A woman whose neighbour allegedly stalked her for 11 years has told a court how she was “frozen” in fear after she was allegedly threatened at a restaurant.
Vivienne Mary Glover pleaded not guilty in Maroochydore District Court to two counts of stalking her Noosaville neighbours between November 30, 2008 and February 28, 2019.
The female neighbour described the moment she was allegedly harassed in a restaurant in 2016 while being questioned by crown prosecutor Alex Stark during the third day of the trial.
“I was looking at my phone and then someone came and stood very close to me, very close and she said ‘I know what you’ve been saying to your friends, you’re a criminal, you’re going to jail,” she said.
“I (was) so scared, I’m shocked.
“ I was frozen, I didn't know what to do.”
The woman said Ms Glover had called her husband a “filthy b----d” and “scum of the earth” and had yelled: “Why did you marry a prick like that?”
She said allegations her husband was a rapist had upset her.
“He is a very good husband, I’m so blessed to be married to him,” she said.
A builder, who worked on Ms Glover’s property in 2018, told the jury he had asked her why mesh was on top of the fence when she said her neighbour was a paedophile and threatened to kill her.
Ms Glover’s barrister Simone Bain questioned the builder but he said there was no way he mistakened what Ms Glover said.
Mr Stark told the jury during the first day of evidence Ms Glover’s allegations about her neighbours were nothing but “fantasy conspiracy theories”.
Ms Bain also questioned the male victim at the beginning of the day.
He said he had CCTV cameras and fake cameras installed on his house, but denied any of them ever pointing towards Ms Glover’s property.
The jury was shown a photograph, taken from Ms Glover’s property of a CCTV camera, located on the corner of the man’s house, pointing towards the woman’s property.
The man said the photographed camera typically faced down his driveway and alleged had been tampered with to face that direction.
The court also heard the man had installed another CCTV camera on his TV aerial which police asked to be redirected.
The man also agreed he referred to Ms Glover as a “crackpot off her rocker”, a “psychotic nutcase” and a “lunatic”.
Ms Bain suggested the man was “stirring up trouble” when he nailed 8-10cm-long nails into the adjoining fence between the two properties.
The man disagreed saying he had used 4cm-long nails to secure wooden slats over gaps in the fence where he said Ms Glover would peer through.
He said the nails were exposed after Ms Glover removed the wood.
He agreed he had removed the nails after another neighbour said they were too long.
Ms Bain also questioned the man about his claims that Ms Glover had videoed his wife naked and suggested he was jumping to a conclusion.
The man agreed he had never been shown photos or videos taken by Ms Glover of his naked wife.
The trial is expected to continue on Wednesday when Ms Bain will question the man’s wife.
