Truck crashes into rail bridge at Woombye
A truck driver was taken to hospital after his vehicle became wedged underneath a rail bridge on the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

A truck has been removed after it struck and was wedged under a rail bridge in the Sunshine Coast hinterland during a transport mishap on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the soccer club on Back Woombye Rd, Woombye at 8.37am on Tuesday, July 11, to reports a truck had crashed into a rail bridge.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the driver managed to get out of the cabin of the truck, but the vehicle was “well and truly stuck”.
Tow trucks have since removed the vehicle. Back Woombye Road was closed while tow trucks worked to free it.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with complaints of neck and back pain.
A Queensland Rail spokeswoman said there were no interruptions to rail services while the removal took place, and services were operating as normal.
