A 28-year-old Aroona woman allegedly tried to supply a drug that is used to treat opioid addiction at the Woodford Correctional Centre, police claim.

Almost a month prior in 2021 Tahlia Jade Harris allegedly went on a spending spree with a tainted credit card across Caloundra, racking up purchases at McDonald’s and the Stockland Shopping Centre, court documents allege.

Ms Harris appeared in Caloundra Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a brief mention on 11 offences she had been charged with on December 15, 2021.

In court documents police allege Ms Harris received a tainted credit card on October 12 2021 and racked up several fraud purchases at Caloundra McDonald’s and the Stockland Shopping Centre in Caloundra.

Police allege gift cards were among the purchases and had allegedly committed attempted fraud at Stockland Shopping Centre as well.

It’s alleged in court documents Ms Harris tried to supply buprenorphine to another person in the Woodford Correctional Centre on November 8 2021.

Ms Harris was charged with all 11 offences on December 15, 2021.

Defence lawyer Katie Paterson asked the court for an adjournment so Ms Harris’ legal aid application could be approved.

Acting Magistrate Raelene Ellis adjourned the matter to May 18, 2022 where Ms Harris faces eight counts of fraud and one of attempted fraud, receiving tainted property and attempting to supply dangerous drugs within a correctional facility.
