A man has been charged with the armed robbery of a Maroochydore convenience store after witnesses came forward.
Police arrested a 22-year-old Sunshine Coast man on Saturday, February 18, and allege that he held up a store worker with a knife at Maroochydore Convenience, on Aerodrome Rd, on Australia Day.
Criminal Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield said as a result of media reports on the January 26 incident, a number of people came forward with information.
The man fronted Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody to next appear on April 28.
