Police are investigating an early morning assault at a Sunshine Coast backpackers that left a man in hospital.
Emergency services were called to a backpackers on Parker St in Maroochydore about 1.50am following reports of two men and a woman having an argument.
Paramedics transported a 41-year-old man to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with facial and non-life threatening head injuries.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said an investigation was ongoing.
“The other man left the scene in a vehicle,” she said.
