Maroochydore Dangerous Driving v2

A plastic surgeon who was caught drink driving after he swerved on to the wrong side of the road and almost hit a police car has pleaded guilty.

Lee Jeffrey Brown, 56, blew 0.205, four times the legal limit after being pulled over on May 14.

A police statement released in May revealed that Brown was driving his black Mercedes Benz sedan along Bradman Avenue at about 8pm when he crossed on to the wrong side of the road.

A police officer driving in the opposite direction was forced to take evasive action.

In a video released by police, the officer can be heard asking Brown if he “likes having fun”.

“You almost had a head on with me,” the officer said.

He asked Brown if he had been drinking and whether he had been involved in a crash that night.

It was unclear if Brown responded.

“You have tyre chunks out of your rims,” the officer said.

“You like driving your car and you like driving fast.”

Brown was taken to the Maroochydore Police Station and breath tested.

He pleaded guilty in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Tuesday to dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and drink driving.

The matter was adjourned for sentencing on August 12.

Brown is the founder of Coastal Plastic Surgery in Birtinya.
