A Mountain Creek weightlifter and carpenter has been charged with cocaine trafficking.
Oscar Louis Davie, 24, was charged on August 27 by the Sunshine Coast Drug and Serious Crime Taskforce with eight charges, including two of possessing dangerous drugs, trafficking dangerous drugs and receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking.
Court documents state the carpenter allegedly trafficked cocaine between December 4 last year and August 27.
Police allege Davie was found with cocaine, steroids, a sum of money obtained from trafficking, an amount of prescription drugs and a mobile phone used in connection with trafficking on August 27.
It’s further alleged by police the Mountain Creek man was found with scales, plastic bags and tubs of a cutting agent used in the connection of drug trafficking.
Davie was charged and faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court at the start of this month, where he was represented by Rebecca Hatcher-Anderson of RK Law.
Ms Hatcher-Anderson asked for an adjournment to allow for a brief of evidence, which was not opposed by police prosecutor Shane Raison.
Senior Sergeant Raison said if there was any analysis required of the property seized, the brief would not be ready within five weeks.
Davie’s matters were adjourned to November 26 by magistrate Janelle Boegheim and he left the court on bail. He has not entered any pleas.
