A young man is in hospital with a severely fractured jaw and another has been charged for an alleged one punch attack in a popular Sunshine Coast night-life precinct.

A teenager has been charged for an alleged one punch attack in a popular Sunshine Coast night-life precinct over the weekend.
Police will allege a 20-year-old Alexandra Headland man was allegedly assaulted outside Sol Bar in Ocean St about 1.50am on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
It’s alleged by police the 20-year-old suffered a cut to his face and a fractured jaw and was found by officers patrolling the Safe Night Precinct in Maroochydore after the attack.
The alleged victim was treated by paramedics and taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
He was later transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Investigations led officers to charge an 18-year-old Coolum Beach man with grievous bodily harm on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
He is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 4, 2022.
