The man complied with the men allegedly taking the Mustang before they fled the scene.

A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed to the Sunshine Coast Daily the Mustang was found dumped in Coolum Beach about 11am on Thursday September 22, 2022.

The spokesman said those allegedly responsible were still on the run with police continuing their investigations.

Inspector Hurst labelled the incident as “extremely concerning”.

Police believed the Ford Ranger used in the alleged hold up may have been stolen with possible links to other serious thefts in the area.

“Please remember occupants of this vehicle may be armed so please take extreme caution,” Inspector Hurst said.

Police are appealing for appealing for anyone who may have seen the Mustang to not approach the vehicle, but immediately call triple-0.
