There has been a tragic outcome following a motorbike crash on the Sunshine Coast just days before Christmas.

A Sunshine Coast man who crashed a motorbike days before Christmas has died in a Brisbane hospital.

The 69-year-old was riding a motorbike in North Arm on December 21, 2022, when he lost control around a bend and crashed on North Arm Yandina Creek Rd.

He was approaching North Arm State School before he crashed.

Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit Sergeant Peter Cowan said the man died in Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital on February 11.

The man was initially flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with back and chest injuries.
