North Arm crash: Motorbike rider flown to hospital with serious injuries

A motorbike rider has been flown to hospital in Brisbane with serious injuries following a dramatic crash on the Sunshine Coast.

A person has been flown by rescue chopper to Brisbane with serious injuries following a motorbike crash in the Sunshine Coast.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash on Fairhill Rd and North Arm Yandina Creek Rd, in North Arm, at 12.11pm with the rescue helicopter called soon after their arrival.

A Queensland Police spokesman said a 69-year-old Glenview man was riding a motorbike towards North Arm State School when he lost control around a bend and ended up in a ditch.

He was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with back and chest injuries.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said one crew was called to the crash and helped make the area safe.
