Mooloolaba security guard allegedly hit in pub | Video

Shocking footage has emerged online of the moment a security guard was allegedly attacked during a disturbance at a popular Sunshine Coast pub. See the video.

Vision has surfaced on social media of the moment a security guard was allegedly sucker punched and knocked to the ground by a man in a Mooloolaba pub.

In the footage shared on Instagram a security guard tries to break up a disturbance at O’Malley’s Irish Bar about 10.30pm on Saturday, November 5.

According to police the male security guard was allegedly assaulted during the scuffle and taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

Screams can be heard in the background as security struggle with other men in the entrance of the venue.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said a 28-year-old Bracken Ridge man was charged with one count of assault and was due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on December 1.

The spokeswoman said a 31-year-old Dicky Beach man was also charged with public nuisance and drug possession and will face court at a later date.

O’Malley’s management declined to comment.
