A prominent Sunshine Coast charity founder and personal trainer says he will fight a charge after he was accused of possessing steroids.
Matthew Rollon Phillips faced Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday after he was accused of possessing dangerous drugs on July 30.
The court heard the drug allegedly found in Mr Phillips possession was steroids.
Unrepresented, Mr Phillips told the court his solicitor, who was not present in court, had ordered a drug analysis certificate on September 27.
The 34-year-old said they were awaiting the results and asked for an adjournment.
The Level Up Foundation founder and director told the Daily he would be pleading not guilty.
Senior Constable David Hoffman said analysis results typically take between three to six months.
Mr Phillips started his foundation in January 2020 to work alongside homeless and disadvantaged community members to improve the lives of those in need.
He is also well-known for his work as a personal trainer.
Magistrate Richard Lehmann adjourned the case to February 21, 2022.
