A 47-year-old Tewantin pool worker was charged by police after he spoke to a Caloundra servo worker while his penis was exposed through his pants.

The court heard Mark David Corby was at a Caloundra service station about 7am on December 20, 2021 when he had used the bathroom.

Police prosecutor Stu Lydford said Corby left the bathroom and walked to the counter with his penis open through his fly.

Caloundra Magistrates Court was told the 47-year-old had engaged with the servo attendant while his penis was out.

They refrained from looking at it.

Sergeant Lydford said after Corby left the attendant then called police.

Corby told police during an interview that his pants had been ripped and he only realised after he’d left the servo.

Defence lawyer Anna Smith said the exposure was chalked down to the loss of Corby’s mother in Victoria which had affected him deeply.

The court heard Corby had no criminal history and had told his partner of the encounter who was “mortified” for him.

Corby pleaded guilty to wilful exposure and was fined $150 with no conviction recorded.
