A man has been arrested after an alleged incident involving a firearm on the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to Gardak Street in Alexandra Headland about 8.20am to reports of a person with a firearm.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said a staff member at a nearby business had called police after a man they alleged was affected by drugs or alcohol had wandered into the area and was acting erratic before pulling what appeared to be a gun out of a bag.
It was later confirmed the weapon was a gel blaster.
The man has since been taken into custody but has not yet been charged.
The spokeswoman said the alleged victim has not made a complaint to police over the incident.
