A heavily tattooed man with the letters “FTP”, an acronym for, “f--- the police” adorned across his forehead is facing possible jail time if found guilty of two alleged public nuisances.
Police allege Jarrett Kurt Kapper made menacing comments to members of the public at Picnic Point Esplanade and Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore in early February.
He was charged with two counts of public nuisance and appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Friday, where he was represented by law clerk Ethan Lloyd. No pleas were entered.
Mr Lloyd asked for an adjournment for Kapper to allow for an application to be considered for legal aid.
Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist queried why he would need legal aid for public nuisance charges with police prosecutor Jeanette Grigoris replying she would be asking for jail time due to his criminal history and the facts.
The 40-year-old made headlines in 2021 after he slapped a man in Adelaide after Kapper heard his victim say “look at this f***head with the tattoos all over his face”.
Kapper pleaded guilty to assault and was placed on an eight-month good behaviour bond in the sum of $500. A conviction was recorded.
The Maroochydore man is adorned with tattoos across his body including the words “f**k cops”, “f**k informant dogs”, “no comment” and “not guilty” tattooed on his face.
Also on his face and neck are images of weapons, including a gun and a knife.
Kapper left the court on bail and will return to court on March 21.
