Eumundi man the victim in Fortitude Valley stabbing

A young Sunshine Coast man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed twice during an altercation in Fortitude Valley.

Police are appealing for information after a young Sunshine Coast man was stabbed twice during an altercation at Fortitude Valley, causing serious injuries.

Emergency services were called to Kemp Place about 1.20am Sunday where the 25-year-old Eumundi man was found.

The man had two wounds to his abdomen.

He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries however they were believed to be non life threatening.

Police say the man had been approached by three men who demanded his phone and wallet before an altercation ensued and he was stabbed.

Detectives have appealed to the public for information.

Police say they are specifically appealing to a caucasian man who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Police described the three alleged offenders as Aboriginal and all wearing dark hooded jumpers.
