Multiple assaults, wilful damage in Noosa Heads

A Bondi Beach woman has wept over the phone in court after police retold of her disgusting act in the Noosaville watch house after a drunken outburst at a popular bar.

Security at the Little Sister Noosa were told by witnesses that Edwina Blaxland Heavener had allegedly assaulted another patron about 11.45pm on April 29.

Police prosecutor Alison Johnstone said Heavener struggled and resisted when security physically escorted her outside while she called them derogatory names.

Sergeant Johnstone said Heavener then threw a shoe at a security guard.

The court heard when Heavener arrived at the police station she called officers “low breed c---ts” while screaming at them.

Heavener then defecated in her own hand and “smeared it all over the door” of the holding cell.

Sergeant Johnstone said she continued to smear the mess on the walls, the floor and the seat as well.

The 37-year-old wept as she appeared via phone from Sydney while the facts were read out.

Defence lawyer Chelsea Emery said Heavener had worked for two large media agencies before her mental health declined due to a childhood trauma.

The court was told Heavener had been “dieting heavily” and had drunk a large amount of alcohol during the evening in question.

Heavener pleaded guilty to public nuisance, wilful damage, failing to leave a licenced premises and resisted an authorised person to leave and was fined $800.

No conviction was recorded.
