A methed-up former Sunshine Beach chef has continued his fall from grace after police discovered needles stashed in his glove box along with a cocktail of other drugs.

A former Sunshine Beach chef is bound for rehab after a roadside drug test exposed his stash of uncapped needles and meth.
Dale Leonard Ryan, 37, told Noosa Magistrates Court he would be headed to a rehab facility in the coming weeks following his sentence for several drug offences from March 30, 2022.
The court heard the former chef had been pulled over along Lionel Donovan Dr about 7pm where he tested positive roadside to meth.
Police prosecutor Alison Johnstone said police searched Ryan’s car to discover his glove box was filled with eight used needles, seven of them uncapped, with one of them poking through a sunglasses case.
Among the search they found o. 2g of ice, 2g of marijuana, clip seal bags and scales.
Ryan represented himself in court on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 and said he had been in an out of rehab for several years due to his drug addiction and would be returning once again.
Magistrate Maxine Baldwin told Ryan he was getting a bit old for this “nonsense”.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing drugs, failing to dispose of a syringe, possessing scales, drug driving and contravening a police direction.
Ryan was sentenced to 14 months’ probation and disqualified from driving for three months.
He was then fined $450, with convictions recorded.
