A nanny who allegedly supplied drugs intends to plead guilty, a court has heard.

Kate Louise Lambeth appeared in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday to face five charges including supplying and possessing dangerous drugs.

Ms Lambeth’s lawyer, Chantelle Allen, told the court her client’s supply drugs charge would need to go to a higher court where she intended to plead guilty to all five charges.

“We’re waiting on a brief of evidence so we’re just seeking the matter be adjourned to obtain that brief of evidence,” Ms Allen said.

The court heard Lambeth had allegedly supplied a schedule one drug.

She was also charged with drug driving for allegedly having methamphetamine and marijuana in her system and possessing dangerous drugs and utensils.

Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist asked what her bail address was.

“She’s in between addresses,” Ms Allen said.

Ms Lambeth told the court she resided at her place of work in Mooloolaba, where she was a nanny for a family.

“I’m a cleaner during the day and a nanny at night,” she said.

“Do they know about this?” Mr Stjernqvist asked referring to her charges.

“The nanny job does, but the cleaner no – not to the extent of it,” Ms Lambeth replied.

The court heard Ms Lambeth had moved to Australia from New Zealand.

“Are you familiar with the well trodden path back over there, everyone’s crying about it over there,” Mr Stjernqvist said.

“Sending people back to New Zealand that come over here and jump themselves into a courtroom too quickly.

“Just something for something for you to think about.”

The matter was adjourned to August 21.

“You’re not to commit any further offences, which is difficult for people up to their elbows in drugs,” Mr Stjernqvist said.
