A Coast mum was busted supplying meth after an operation targeting drug traffickers led police to her, a court has heard.

Emma Lee Crang, 37, pleaded guilty to supplying meth in Maroochydore District Court on Tuesday, supported by her mother and the father of her youngest child.

The court heard police had obtained a warrant to intercept a man's phone in July 2019 as part of a police operation targeting meth trafficking.

It heard police intercepted 57 instances of communication between Crang and the man who had supplied meth to her.

Crown prosecutor Madalyn Olivero told the Maroochydore District Court Crang had not been a principal target of the operation.

She said the mother-of-two had arranged to meet her supplier at a pub along the Nicklin Way and had asked for 1.75g, which she paid $600 for, some of which she used for herself and some she supplied to other people.

She said Crang, who was 35 at the time, received the drug and "supplied it to her associates".

In November 2019 Crang was charged with one count of supplying a dangerous drug and granted bail.

The court heard Crang continued to offend after the arrest and was placed on probation earlier in 2021 for offences including contravening police orders, drug possession, stealing and weapons related charges.

Defence barrister Nathan Turner said Crang had gone "off the rails" and started using methamphetamines after ending a long-term relationship.

He said Crang had suffered depression for several years and had a long term addiction to marijuana.

"She's made some really poor choices in the past," Mr Turner said.

"(She is) determined to stay clean and continue with the drug course and focus her life on her children."

Judge Anthony Rafter said he had taken her early guilty plea and her personal circumstances into account when deciding a sentence and ordered her to 15 months on probation.
