A Nambour concreter has been refused bail for his bizarre alleged break-in of a disability support centre.

Christopher James Parra was told he was the “author of his situation” after ending up back in custody for being accused of offending on a suspended sentence.

Police allege Parra broke into a box trailer at Integrated Disability Support Services at Birtinya on September 28 with an unknown implement.

CCTV footage allegedly captured Parra taking a “Pet Cyclone hair dryer” before he left the business in a Holden Cruz that was registered to the 40-year-old.

The disability support business’ website states the centre runs a mobile dog wash that employs workers with disabilities, while also offering a therapeutic effect for its employees.

Police say this video recording showed a striking resemblance to Parra due to his appearance and hairstyle.

Officers spoke to Parra two days later in Maroochydore where he was also allegedly wearing the same pants as in the CCTV footage.

Parra was also accused of breaking a window of a luxury BMW parked in Pomona and rummaging through its vehicle after cutting himself on the glass, leaving blood behind in the process, possessing meth, a pipe and failing to appear in court.

Parra was also accused of a fuel drive-off at a service station in Gympie on October 15.

He was arrested on a warrant on October 27 where he was charged with entering a premises and committing an indictable offence by break, entering a premises with intent and stealing.

The Nambour man later made admissions to police he had a drug addiction.

Duty lawyer David Crews conceded it was a strong case against the 40-year-old, and said his push for Parra’s conditional release relied on rehabilitation.

Mr Crews said Parra was allegedly unable to attend court previously due to someone damaging his car and injuring him, which led to the warrant being issued.

The duty lawyer said if Parra was unable to receive bail he would most likely lose his housing commission accommodation.

He said the Nambour man had struggled with drug use, which led to the Nambour man accumulating a long criminal history.

Police prosecutor Mel Pyke objected to Parra’s bail, citing his history of breaching bail and failing to appear in court.

Magistrate Chris Callaghan said Parra was the “author of his own situation” and refused his bail.

Parra’s matters will be next mentioned in court on November 15.
