Bruce Highway arrest: Pair to appear in Maroochydore court charged with driving offences and stealing
Two people were arrested after police used a tyre deflation device to stop an allegedly stolen car on the Bruce Hwy on Tuesday night.

A man and woman will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court after police used a tyre deflation device to stop their allegedly stolen car on the Bruce Highway.
Police will allege that they spotted a Lexus that had been reported stolen from Chermside West on July 25, 2022, in Dakabin about 2.30pm on July 26, 2022.
A police spokeswoman said the vehicle was monitored as it moved south to the Sunshine Coast and about 10.50pm police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on the Bruce Highway.
She said the vehicle continued to travel south on the Bruce Highway before it eventually came to a stop.
A 33-year-old Warana man was charged with multiple offences including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, one count of driving without a licence and one count of evading police.
He will appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 28, 2022.
A 30-year-old Kallangur woman was charged with one count of stealing and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court at a later date.
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information should contact police.
