A mother of two has broken into a Noosa Council building, causing $6000 worth of damage, and all she took was a can of red paint.

A Coast woman who broke into a council building and caused almost $6000 in damages just to steal a can of red spray paint has been sentenced.

Belinda Rasha Savage, 26, pleaded guilty in Maroochydore Magistrates Court to breaking and entering, wilful damage and five minor drug charges on Tuesday, June 22.

The court heard Savage had in February 2021 broken into a Noosa Council building at the Eumundi Noosa Road landfill site in Doonan after she climbed onto the roof to break a CCTV camera.
