Four people escaped a blaze that destroyed a Beerwah home on Sunday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the Shaws Rd home about 7.45pm on March 26.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the single-storey house with a tin roof had been destroyed upon firefighters’ arrival.

She said once the blaze was out, firefighters continued to dampen down the home and also donned breathing apparatus to go in and examine the extent of the fire and assess the significant damage.

The spokeswoman said there were four occupants who were already out of the home upon the arrival of the fire trucks.

Eight fire crews were called to the scene.

Paramedics also attended but did not treat anyone.

Fire investigators will look at the home to try and find the cause of the blaze.

A Queensland Police spokesman said it was non-suspicious at this stage.

More to come.
