An alleged outlaw motorcycle gang associate has been arrested during a targeted drug raid on the Sunshine Coast.

Jeremy Scott Campbell was hauled before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Wednesday following several search warrants executed in relation to drugs.

Bail objection documents tendered to the court during his bail application state Sunshine Coast Gang Squad detectives raided Campbell’s Mountain Creek home about 11am on Tuesday.

Police allege during a search of his garage police found a number of multiple vials and tablets of steroids partnered with two small bags of marijuana and drug utensils.

It’s alleged in court documents 1.5g of heroin was also found in a clip seal bag attached to a whiteboard with a magnet.

Detectives state in bail documents Campbell was on parole for serious drug trafficking offences and despite “being afforded such leniency” allegedly continued offending with narcotics.

Court documents state the 37-year-old was allegedly an “OMCG associate” with a “deplorable” drug history.

Police claim in court documents Campbell not only has an extensive history in NSW but also multiple entries on his ACT record.

In court on Wednesday, police prosecutor Stu Lydford said it appeared Campbell was allegedly “running the gauntlet” due to his parole.

Defence lawyer Jarrod Bell said the charges were “considerably” less serious than what he was on parole for.

Mr Bell tendered documents concerning the Mountain Creek man’s drug counselling where he completed multiple courses.

“He’s clearly not going too well on it,” Ms Smith said.

He told the court from a defence perspective, they believed scientific testing would prove it was not heroin found at the home, and was instructed Campbell had a prescription for the marijuana found.

The defence lawyer said Campbell, who was born in Canberra, also completed training to become a scaffolder and travelled to Mackay for certain work jobs which proved he was employed.

Acting magistrate Anna Smith granted the Mountain Creek man bail on strict conditions and adjourned his matters to June 19.
