A Buderim driver, 23, who allegedly armed himself with a knife and stabbed three men at a popular nightlife venue will remain behind bars after he failed to apply for bail in court.
Alex Guy Jackson is accused of stabbing three men, aged in their 20s, at 4am on Sunday while at Ocean Street, Maroochydore.
Mr Jackson allegedly fled the scene on foot before police found him at 5.30am.
Queensland Ambulance Service tweeted paramedics took three men to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after the alleged Ocean Street incident.
One of the injured men was in a serious but stable condition after he suffered stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.
A second man, also in a serious but stable condition, suffered chest and back injuries.
Critical care paramedics travelled to hospital with the two patients.
A third man sustained injuries to his back and was in a stable condition.
Mr Jackson did not appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday for three counts of acts intended to maim, disfigure or disable, one of assaults occasioning bodily harm while armed in public and going armed as to cause fear.
Solicitor Michael Robinson said the Buderim man wouldn’t be applying for bail.
He asked for a committal mention date to be set.
Magistrate Rod Madsen adjourned the matters to January 28, 2021.
Mr Jackson was also taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment to facial injuries sustained during the alleged brawl.
The 20-year-old passenger, who was charged with serious assault of police causing bodily harm, is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on November 5.
