One dead, seven injured in horror crash
One person is dead while another seven have been injured in a horrific two-car crash at Tin Can Bay this afternoon.

One person is dead while another seven have been injured in a horrific accident at Tin Can Bay this afternoon.
The Energex Community Rescue Helicopter has been scrambled to the accident on Tin Can Bay Road. The chopper pilot had to negotiate between power lines and a dam to land.
A police spokespersn said a police patrol located the two vehicle crash about 15 kilometres east of Gympie at 1pm.
One person died at the scene and a number of other people are seriously injured. Queensland Fire and Rescue Services were needed to free a victim from the wreckage.
Initial reports suggest two people were critically injured, while another two people have been listed with serious injuries.
Emergency crews have been told another three people have minor injuries following the two car collision.
Police from as far away as Cooroy have been involved in the response to the drama.
Meanwhile, police and emergency service crews are at the scene of a serious traffic incident that occurred in Capalaba this afternoon.
Around 12.20pm the vehicle collided with a tree on Old Cleveland Road, Capalaba.
The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped in the wreckage with rescue crews attempting to free her.
Outbound lanes of Old Cleveland Road are closed between Moreton Bay Road and Old Cleveland Road.
Victoria has had its worst weekend on the roads for 18 months, with 11 killed in seven separate crashes since Friday.
Assistant Commissioner Ken Lay said that with speed, alcohol and driving conditions playing a part in a number of the crashes, police were frustrated with people not heeding public campaigns to drive responsibly.
