A prominent Noosa restaurant operator who previously ran six local venues has placed his latest company into liquidation.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission documents show the company, Hermosa Restaurants and Services Pty Ltd, was placed into liquidation on October 31, 2025.

Liquidator Jarvis Lee Archer was appointed to complete the winding up.

The company’s director is listed as Noosaville man, Carlos Alberto Vanselow Filho, a role he has held since the company began trading in June this year.

It is stated in the ASIC documents Carlos Vanselow owes the company $30,000, in what is described as a loan.

Previous stories by this publication show Mr Vanselow previously operated Noosa Greek restaurant Santorini in 2019, which was formerly called Sirocco.

Another story published in 2020 referred to Mr Vanselow as having operated six restaurants in the tourist hotspot, some of which closed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

They included Pasta Pronto, Grind Cafe, Moondoggy’s and Maisies, according to the story.

According to ASIC documents the principal place of business for the company is 1/255 Gympie Terrace in Noosaville, which is the address provided for Grind Cafe on their website.

It is not suggested Grind Cafe is impacted by the liquidation of Hermosa Restaurants and Services Pty Ltd.

The latest documents filed with the corporate regulator show an estimated debt of about $49, 435 owed to the Australian Taxation Office.

Mr Archer and Mr Vanselow have been contacted for comment by this publication.
