No sign of Mermaid Waters man Edan Huntington after Montville disappearance

Police are yet to locate Edan Huntington despite local and interstate inquiries after the Mermaid Waters man mysteriously vanished from the Sunshine Coast hinterland in January.

Edan Huntington has been missing since January 18 after driving off from a holiday rental in Montville.

The search continues for missing Mermaid Waters man Edan Huntington, who has been missing for over a month.

He was last seen in Montville in the early hours of January 18.

A Queensland Police spokesman said both Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast police were continuing to look for the 28-year-old and had inquired at local and interstate hospitals, airports, train and bus stations, banks and phone companies.

No sign of Mr Huntington has been confirmed.

“Patrols continue to be conducted on the ground as new information from Crime Stoppers or Policelink is received,” the Queensland Police spokesman said.

“Police remain in constant communication with Edan’s family and friends, who have not seen or heard from Edan since his disappearance.”

His mother Delia Harpur told the Sunshine Coast Daily he had been staying at a holiday rental house on Boongala Ave in Montville for 10 days but had called an ambulance the morning he disappeared.

“His dad woke up about 5am and found the ambulance men and the neighbour in the home,” she said.

“But Edan was nowhere to be seen and the neighbour said they had seen him driving off in a hurry about 20 minutes before.”

Ms Harpur said the family had started to suspect foul play was involved in her son’s disappearance and their worries were starting to look ‘grim’.
