“We have found the close community feel of the College generates a culture where the children want to learn, where they feel safe and where they feel loved,” Mr Hornby said.

“The College does not do intensive NAPLAN preparation except for familiarity with devices used in the tests.”

Mr Hornby said NAPLAN was just one of “a suite of tools” used to validate that every student had made progress on their education journey.

“Education is a journey, it is not the score on a test,” he said.

It was calculated by each school‘s combined results for each NAPLAN subject in 2017 and compared to the same results in 2021.
