More than 200 new carpark spaces are set to open in the Maroochydore CBD but the council is yet to decide whether users will have to pay for a spot.

Sunshine Coast Council expects the new ground level carpark on Mundoo Boulevard will be completed in October.

New public carpark plans revealed for CBD

A council spokeswoman said the new carpark was intended to be a mix of public parking and parking spaces for early tenants of the new Maroochydore City Centre.

"The application of parking fees and pricing will be subject to council's decision at a future ordinary meeting," the spokeswoman said.
