Wild footage has emerged of an out of control blaze which erupted from a white sedan on the Sunshine Mwy during peak hour.
Emergency services rushed to the southbound Maroochy Blvd on-ramp about 4pm on Wednesday November 2 after a car burst into flames following a three-vehicle crash.
Paramedics treated two people at the scene with a woman in her 20s taken to Sunshine Coast University hospital in a stable condition for chest pain.
Vision obtained by this publication showed flames erupting from one of the car’s involved, with fire crews extinguishing the blaze about 4.15pm.
Four people were also taken to hospital in a separate five-vehicle crash about 3.50pm on Wednesday in Little Mountain.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said seven people were involved in the smash at the intersection of Caloundra Rd and Bells Creek Arterial Rd.
The spokeswoman said four people were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.
This included a woman in her 70s, and woman in her 50s who each reported neck pain, a man in his 50s with neck pain and bruising and another woman in her 70s as a precaution.
