Marcoola crash: second man dies in hospital after bike, car crash
A second cyclist has died on the Sunshine Coast in a week, after crashing into a stationary car at Marcoola, with police confirming the Maroochydore man died in hospital.

In a second tragic incident within a week, a 69-year-old cyclist has died after crashing into a stationary car on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Police spokesman said the Maroochydore man was riding a bike south along David Low Way in Marcoola about 4pm on November 17 when he crashed into the parked car on the side of the road.
The spokesman said he was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition and died yesterday, November 23, as a result of his injuries.
It is the second incident in which a cyclist has died in the past week.
Yesterday, on November 23, a 51-year-old Little Mountain man died after he crashed his bicycle into a stationary truck.
The truck had broken down at the corner of Caloundra Rd and Pierce Av, Corbould Park.
Police and paramedics were called to the serious crash just before 4.30am.
The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit continues its investigation of the incidents.
