Man suffers burns in Amamoor fire

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital in a serious condition after he suffered burns to his face, arms and chest in a backyard fire.

A man in his 30s who suffered burns to his face, arms and chest after a backyard fire was treated by critical care paramedics and taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a private address in Amamoor at 7:11pm on Saturday night.

The spokeswoman said the man in his 30s was in a “serious condition” after suffering burns to his face, arms and chest in a backyard fire incident.

She said the man was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with critical care paramedics on board.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said firefighters had not been called to any fires in the suburb of Amamoor.

Queensland Police did not attend the fire.
