Police are appealing for any information after a man lying on a Sunshine Coast street died when he was struck by a car.

A small but sweet pile of floral tributes have been left on a Sunshine Coast street after the tragic death of a 24-year-old man.
Brightly coloured gerberas, roses and lilies have been left on a median strip at Parkville Street, Sippy Downs.
The residential street near the University of the Sunshine Coast was quiet on Sunday afternoon with only the flowers and road markings left after the devastating incident on Saturday night.
Initial police investigations suggested that the man was lying on the road on Parkville Street when he was hit around 11.30pm.
The 24-year-old man was seriously injured and died at the scene a short time later.
It’s understood police are yet to make contact with the man’s next of kin.
The driver, a 19-year-old Sippy Downs man, was not injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone that has any information about the incident to contact police.
A Forensic Crash Unit investigation is underway.
