A court has ordered a retrial for the high-profile fraud case involving Sunshine Coast woman Jodi Louise Nuske.

Ms Nuske did not appear in the Maroochydore District Court as her matters were mentioned on Wednesday, November 29.

Ms Nuske faces a charge of fraud totalling more than $30,000.

Solicitor Lachlan Sparks appeared on behalf of Ms Nuske, requesting a trial date be set for the end of 2024.

The court was told the previous trial ran for 10 days, with the retrial expected to take a similar amount of time.

District Court judge Glen Cash told the court it was not yet known why the retrial for Ms Nuske had been ordered.

“The Court of Appeal haven’t yet favoured us with the reasons for why there has been an order for a retrial, so both sides of the court would be interested to know why there is a retrial,” Mr Cash said.

Mr Cash listed the retrial for the November 18, 2024.
