Drivers are sharing their frustrations on Facebook after a multi-car crash blocked a lane of the Bruce and caused traffic delays.

Department of Transport and Main Roads Road Conditions website said a multi-car crash on the Bruce Highway four kilometres south of the Caloundra Road exit had blocked an unknown number of lanes around 12pm.

The site said drivers should expect delays.

One road user took to the Sunshine Coast Queensland Traffic Info Facebook page to say she had seen a three-car just before the Roy’s Road exit at around 12pm.

Another driver wrote the Bruce Highway was nearly at a standstill from the Caloundra exit heading southbound.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said police were aware of a Bruce Highway crash near Banya, but officers were not needed on the scene.

The spokeswoman said there were no injuries reported.

She confirmed traffic was backing-up because of the crash.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said paramedics were not aware of the crash.
