The Generation Innovation challenge for 2023 has launched, giving young Sunshine Coast innovators a shot at making their dream business a reality.

Generation Innovation was founded by Federal Member for Fairfax Ted O’Brien to connect entrepreneurs aged between 15 and 25 and give them the guidance to design and conceptualise on their business ideas.

Each year, selected participants are provided with skills, free training and business connections needed to build on their ideas.

“The program aims to create role models for young people, inspiring them to believe in their potential and turn their ideas into profitable businesses,” a Generation Innovation statement reads.

Participants ultimately pit their ideas against their peers in order to compete for a $10,000 package to help launch their dream business.

Mr O’Brien placed emphasis on the importance of nurturing young talent for the future.
