Emergency crews on way to stranded hikers at Mt Beerwah

Emergency crews are working to rescue two hikers stranded in the Glass House Mountains.

Emergency crews are working to rescue two hikers who are stuck on Mt Beerwah.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three technical rescue crews were called at about 12pm on Saturday to Mt Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast.

She said the hikers were stuck about 30m from the base of the mountain.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics had not been called to any incidents in the Glass House Mountains area.
