Elderly man treated for smoke inhalation after kitchen fire

Firefighters have rushed to a kitchen fire at a Sunshine Coast home.

UPDATE: A man in his 80s has been treated for smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in Buderim.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man did not require hospitalisation.

EARLIER: Firefighters have rushed to a kitchen fire at a Buderim home.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said crews were called shortly before 5pm to a Cumberland Way property.

He said firefighters were using hoses to put out a fire on stove top.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said she was yet to receive any reports of injuries.
